💞 Your Guide To A Lifelong Meditation Practice
Hello Readers 👋🏽,
Welcome to “Readers Who Meditate”. 🐣
Who is this website for?
Meditation practice has saved and changed my life. I saw the results when I practised intermittently and for a rather short duration (3 minutes). I went on various retreats to establish a meditation practice, but I found it challenging to do so once I got back home.
I was keen on establishing a meditation practice once I realised that this is something that would be a crucial part of my inner well-being (living with a cocktail of conditions that are challenging).
But sitting in practice was like sitting on a piece of hot coal. It burned and roasted me, and I was not able to last longer than 3 minutes per day and not more than 3 weeks at a stretch.
So, I set out to learn various methods of meditation from diverse traditions and teachers (normally, practitioners practice one kind of meditation from one tradition, even if they don’t know it) and have carved out a long-standing practice for myself.
This website is to support myself and others who want a lifelong meditation practice, for whom practice isn’t automatic or easy.
I support my meditation practice through
Intensive study of various teachings by teachers from all traditions outside of Buddhism, including Hinduism, Shamanism, and Wicca.
Reading books, reflection on each book through discussions, writing and quiet contemplation.
Practicing within a safe community
Teaching Meditation and Mindfulness to my coaching clients and meditation practice circle.
